      In the Office of Adolescent Pregnancy Programs (OAPP) was established in the Public Health Service to administer the Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention and Care Program mandated by the leg~sTa- tion and to coordinate all programs in the U.S. Department of Health, Education, and Welfare concerned with aspects of adolescent pregnancy and childbeanng. The Tribal Personal Responsibility Education Program (Tribal PREP) promotes proven and culturally appropriate methods for reducing adolescent pregnancy, delaying sexual activity among youths and increasing abstinence and contraceptive education among sexually active youth in native communities. Programs follow design guidelines similar to those of State PREP, but are specially designed to.
